Some of the new albums:

This double record package was recorded live
during Denver‘s week-long engagement last-
fall at the Universal Amphitheatre in Holly-
wood. There are 24 tracks, including the super-
star’s classics, “Take Me Home Country
Roads" and “Rocky Mountain High."

MAD DOG -— One obvious reason for the
longevity of The Who is that all four members
are strong solo performers. Bassist John En-
twistle. who did the great vocal on ”Boris the
Spider”. put together this rather bizarre col-
lection which has some of the mac abre touches
of Dickens and Poe. His backup group, 0x.
includes Robert Johnson on guitar. Mike Dea-
con on fieyboards, Graham Deekin on drums
and three girl singers. (The group. incidental-
ly, is appearing tomorrow and Sunday nights
at Winterland in San Francisco.)
