“Tommy can you see me?” the
answer this year is ‘Who
knows? But you can see Tom-

The Who’s Tommy, an adap-

tation of the British rock band’s
classic 1969 rock opera Tommy,
produced by Who co-founder,
guitarist and Chief songwriter
Pete Townshend, is the lead
show of the 1993-1994 Fort
Lauderdale Broadway Series.

The show debuts on Oct. 26
and runs through Nov. 7 at the
Broward Center for the Per-
forming Arts. Subscribers also

get preferential seat selection

for The Phantom of the Opera,
which debuts at the Jackie Glea-
son Theater in Miami Beach on
Oct. 11, but is not included in

the series.

U.S. adaptation of Who’s

‘Tommy’ set for Broward
