1964 – The Detours the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford

1965 – The Who play the Ealing Club

1966 – The Who play the Beachcomber Club in Leigh, Lancashire. Roger is interviewed backstage by David Dutton for “The Pop Scene.” He says The Who have stopped smashing their instruments because, “we’re so skint we stand to go to jail.”

1968 – The Who and Small faces fly to Wellington with one day off before their next show. Steve Marriott celebrates his 21st birthday with a party and, when a record player he is given by EMI begins to malfunction, out the hotel window it goes. Soon, with more than a little help from Keith and Who roadie “Wiggy” Wolff, the entire contents of the hotel room are flying out the window to smash in the street below. For now, they all escape by telling the arriving police that someone must have broken in and wrecked the room.

1969 – The Who continue rehearsals at Whitehall Theater

1970 – The Who return to the Concertgebouw in Amerstam, The Netherlands

1981 – The Who play the first of two nights at the Cornwall Coliseum in St. Austell, Cornwell

1996 – The John Entwistle Band play Tramps in New York

2007 – Ruth’s Hat releases their CD “Nostalgic For Right Now” featuring a cover of “I Can’t Explain”.
