1968 – The Who play the Anson Rooms at the University in Bristol in Bristol
1971 – The Who play the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, Arizona
1973 – In an interview in the Washington Post, Roger says that Dallas was the only weak show of the North American tour.
1974 – Billboard magazine carries a brief article titled “‘Tommy’ Rates 2 Consultants”
1979 – The Who play the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan
1982 – The Who play at the MECCA Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a show brought about by a local DJ who spent over fourteen days on a tenth floor window ledge until The Who agree to appear.
1983 – Warner Brothers terminates The Who’s contract despite their failure to deliver another two albums as specified.
1996 – The Who and friends return Quadrophenia to London with the second of two shows at Earl’s Court in London
1999 – John is voted Bass Guitarist of the Millennium by readers of the British magazine Guitar
1999 – A press report is released that details Pete’s 3-year relationship with the 26 year-old musician Rachel Fuller
2005 – Mark Wilkerson publishes his previously online only biography Amazing Journey: The Life of Pete Townshend. It will be republished later by Omnibus Press as Who Are You: The Life of Pete Townshend
2006 – The Who play the Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska
2008 – Pete and Roger attend the Kennedy Center gala with outgoing President George W. Bush and fellow honorees, Barbra Streisand, Morgan Freeman and George Jones. A brilliant, soulful performance of “Love Reign O’er Me” by Bettye LaVette brings tears to Pete’s eyes and causes Streisand to lean over to Pete and ask “You wrote this?”

2014 – The Who play the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, West Midlands
