1963 – The Detours perform at the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford

1964 – The Who play a Student’s Christmas Dance at Keith’s old alma mater Harrow Technical College in London. Cathy McGowan, host of Ready Steady GO! sees the band here for the first time.

1968 – The Who play the University at Reading with Jess Roden coming onstage to sing “Magic Bus” Pete Brown and HIs Battered Ornaments open.

1969 – The Who play the Empire Theatre in Liverpool

1971 – The Who play the first of two nights at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium, in San Francisco, California

1977 – Keith drags Pete to his new hangout, the punk-rock club The Vortex to see Wayne County and the Electric Chairs, Backlash and the Skunks. Pete is particularly impressed with the latter band and signs them to his Eel Pie record label.
