1964 – The Who play the White Hart Hotel in Southall, Middlesex

1965 – The Who were scheduled to play in Stoke-on-trent at Trentham Gardens but their equipment van broke down in Coventry.

1966 – The Who play Berget in Soderhamn, Sweden

1966 – The Who play Hogbo Bruk in Sandviken. The show is at 4pm followed by a drive of about 100 miles (160km) to their next show later that evening

1966 – Steve Marriott of The Small Faces is interviewed in Melody Maker. On the subject of The Who he says, “A gas. I can’t really understand their personal basis – the friendship basis – but I don’t want to understand. Their music is great and always will be.”

2005 – Pete Townshend announces that he and director Murray Lerner have settled their differences of the past month over the Who bio film and it will proceed with his blessing
