1962 – The Detours get a feature article in the Acton Gazette and Post, their first ever press mention, in a review of the Gala Ball of the 1st. The paper says the “Detours” jazz group provided “the gist of the twist.”
1963 – The Detours play the Goldhawk Social Club in Shepard’s Bush
1964 – The Who play two shows at the Queen’s Theatre in Blackpool supporting the Swinging Blue Jeans and the Nashville Teens
1966 – The Who play the Palais in Ilford, Essex
1966 – The Who record performances of “I’m A Boy” and “Heatwave” for Ready, Steady, GO!
1969 – The Who play the Kinema Ballroom in Dunfermline, Scotland. Alan Jordan and the Shadettes provide support
1971 – The Who make their last special appearance on BBC Radio on The Johnnie Walker Show. It is repeated on the 20th
1971 – The scheduled start date for the filming of Tommy by Universal Pictures. The deal fell through after the studio rejected Who manager Kit Lambert’s script.
1974 – John appears on BBC Radio 1’s Roundtable
1980 – Melody Maker prints an angry rebuttal to their panning review of Roger’s movie McVicar. The letter comes from John McVicar himself. He praises Roger for gambling on a risky subject
1986 – Billboard reports that Atco has released a promo-only EP from Pete’s Deep End: The Brixton Concert videotape
1991 – The press reports that Pete is selling his riverfront home and studio in Twickenham
1996 – Iron Maiden releases a CD single in the U.K. of their song “Virus.” Also on the CD is a cover of “My Generation.”. You can listen to Iron Maiden playing “My Generation” here
1998 – Down At The Astoria – A Who Convention is held at The Astoria in Charing Cross Road in London. Stage acts include Simon Townshend’s Animal Soup, tribute band Who’s Who, and readings by Tony Fletcher from his new Keith Moon biography. The real action is upstairs at the Keith Moon Bar where some of the attendees passing through include original Who drummer Doug Sandom, The Beachcombers, ‘Irish’ Jack Lyons, Richard Barnes, ‘Dougal’ Butler, ‘Wiggy’ Wolff, Bill Curbishley and Keith Moon’s mother. A planned performance by the John Entwistle Band does not occur due to the cost of flying the American members of the band to England

2002 – The Shel Talmy stereo remix My Generation: Deluxe Edition is released in Europe on both double CD and vinyl.
2004 – In an interview at the website Jewsweek.com, actor Jeremy Piven, also a drummer, expresses interest in portraying Keith Moon in a biopic
2006 – The Who assemble in New York and begin rehearsals for their Endless Wire North American tour.
2011 – BBC Radio 2 has the hour long documentary I’m Keith Moon, What’s Your Excuse? Keith Altham and Dougal Butler participate, Phil Daniels narrates
2011 – Roger performs “Pinball Wizard” on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
2012 – Roger Daltrey and his solo band perform at a private event for the Oracle Club Excellence at the Atlantic Resort in the Bahamas
