1965 – The Who play the Imperial Ballroom in Nelson, Lancashire

1966 – The Who play the Ultra Club at The Downs Hotel in Hassocks, Sussex

1971 – Who’s Next hits its peak on the Billboard charts at #4, repeating the position the next week. Keeping the record from the top spot are Every Picture Tells a Story by Rod Stewart, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour by The Moody Blues and Tapestry by Carole King.

1979 – The Who play the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey

1982 – The Who play the Birmingham International Arena in Birmingham, West Midlands

1982 – Billboard reports on Twentieth Century Fox’s rights to The Who’s upcoming tour. The same issue features “It’s Hard” in their Spotlight reviews

1985 – Roger picks up a lifetime achievement award for The Who at a reception held before Record Bar’s annual convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. According to Getty Images, he was also in New York this day getting photographed.

1991 – John makes his longtime girlfriend Maxene the second “My Wife” in a ceremony in Las Vegas. Their witness is an Elvis impersonator

1994 – Roger and John continue with the orchestral Daltrey Sings Townshend tour performing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Mann Music Center

2002 – The Las Vegas coroner releases his final report on John Entwistle’s death. He confirms that John suffered a heart attack after taking cocaine. His night’s companion, stripper Alison Rowse, remembers his last words as a request that she not let him sleep on his back since fellow rock stars Jimi Hendrix and John Bonham had died choking on vomit in their sleep.

2007 – The Ragamuffins of Love featuring Eff Dupp release their CD WISE UP! containing a cover of “It’s Not True”.
